God damn, first day of school and already I had an overload of homework - aka why I wasn't on the computer last night. I had an AP Chem summer assignment that I didn't do. orz I stayed up until almost midnight and only got 2/3 of it done. I'M SO TIRED RIGHT NOW.
Period 1 - US History II Our "Do Now" was to share something we did over the summer that was fun and involved history somehow. Guess where my brain went. Mr. O'Reagan's pretty cool, so History should be tolerable this year. Of course, I have no friends (or even acquaintances, actually - for some reason, this not being AP History means that all the slacker/lower grade average students are in it) in this class. :/
Period 2 - Mandarin II We've got a new teacher this year, after the class last year was obnoxious to the point of driving the previous teacher to quit, unfortunately. I can't say yet whether or not she's gonna be a good teacher, but she seems like she has better teaching skills than the previous teacher.
Period 3 - Creative Writing Mr. Kaplow is pretty awesome. He's got a bunch of novels published, and one made into a movie (Me and Orson Welles). I'm excited about this class. :D We've already done some exercises and I'm already feeling good about it. ♥
Period 4 - Pre-Calculus Looking pretty easy so far, just gotta start remembering all the formulas and all that. Also I've actually got friends in this class. :D
Period 5 - Band I LOVE BAND. UNFORTUNATELY, TO MY UNDYING ANGER, FOR SOME REASON MY LAB DAYS THIS YEAR JUST
HAD TO BE DURING BAND. THUS, I WILL BE GOING TO GYM 5 DAYS A WEEK AND BAND ONLY 4. I'M GOING TO DIE A LITTLE INSIDE EVERY MONDAY.
Period 6 - AP Chemistry Again, looking easy so far - plus my dad teaches it (over at another school) so I get a free tutor. ;D I've still got a third of the summer assignment to go. Luckily the teacher didn't check them today. OTL
Period 7 - AP English III Shit, did
not start off on a good foot for this class. We had to hand in our summer assignments the first day, and mine wasn't complete - I hadn't finished the book portion in time to get the documentary portion finished, too. (so i watched it 15 minutes ago, actually. ... i should be typing up the assignment now.) So I had to hand in an incomplete assignment. Ugh. Luckily I know and like the teacher - she's the advisor for our school's literary magazine.
Period 8 - Gym no comment. >:I
